QuickRewrite Privacy Policy

What QuickRewrite does

QuickRewrite is a Gmail rewriting extension. It activates only when a user selects text in Gmail compose and chooses a rewrite action.

Information handled by QuickRewrite

QuickRewrite may handle the following information in order to work:

• waitlist signup email addresses and signup timestamps
• selected text from the user’s Gmail draft
• surrounding draft text used as context for better rewrites
• custom rewrite commands and favorites saved to the user’s account
• basic account information needed for sign-in and subscription state
• usage data needed to enforce plan limits and improve reliability

How the information is used

QuickRewrite uses this information only to:

• generate the requested rewrite
• store waitlist signups and contact early-access users
• send essential onboarding or access emails related to the waitlist
• save user settings such as custom commands and favorites
• authenticate the user
• apply plan limits and subscription status
• maintain, debug, and improve the service

What QuickRewrite does not do

• QuickRewrite does not sell personal information.
• QuickRewrite does not use Gmail content for advertising.
• QuickRewrite does not expose Gmail draft content to other users.

Third-party services

QuickRewrite relies on third-party infrastructure providers for authentication, database storage, payments, hosting, and AI text generation. Those providers process data only as needed to deliver the product.

Google API data

QuickRewrite uses information received from Google surfaces only to provide or improve user-facing features inside Gmail.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention

QuickRewrite stores account settings and limited product data as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain subscriptions, and operate the product.
